Timeshare
‘I simply hated leaving Trelowarren. Few places have made such a profound impression on me’ Daphne Du Maurier. Diary note after her first visit to Trelowarren
Timeshare at Trelowarren is unique. A highly flexible agreement allows you to fix the cost of your holidays for 30 years, to enjoy - or to let, exchange, gift or sell your ownership. More even than that, though, it offers the dimension of a private, listed estate and award-winning accommodation of the highest standard, restored or constructed on green principles.
All our Self catering houses offer unparalleled comfort and style whilst incorporating all the latest ‘green technology’. Rainwater harvesting systems, super high levels of insulation, CO2 neutral emissions, organic paint, eco dishwashers and washing machines all keeping Trelowarren safe for the future.
To buy a holiday home in this part of Cornwall - at the head of The Lizard AONB, near the Helford River - would be hugely expensive. Instead, you can have a place to call your own, at your favourite holiday time, on the doorstep of all that is beautiful and exciting here, without the costs of permanent ownership.
Timeshare at Trelowarren falls naturally into two segments, old and new-build - though both are part of a radical template for self-sufficiency which has won the Estate five awards for eco-tourism.
New or old, though, it offers a level of flexibility you would find hard to match. As well as using our RCI membership to exchange your timeshare for one elsewhere, you can rent it to friends, swap it with another Trelowarren timeshare owner, using our exchange system, or sell it on.
We also offer a Guaranteed Buy Back option on all new weeks purchased. Trelowarren will buy back your timeshare week at the original purchase price after five years of ownership and before 15 years have elapsed.
Environmental approach to an environmental paradise
Six of the units are fine old buildings which have been restored on green principles with the aim of becoming carbon-neutral: a Georgian barn, now four houses, a large 18th century detached house and two 16th century thatched cottages.
We have consent for a further 31 houses planned for an old orchard near the stable-yard. Eight of these new houses have been built and the construction of six further houses is planned soon. Their design and build by environmental specialists Gale & Snowden are at the cutting edge of green technology, using sustainable, locally-sourced or recycled materials, making the most of natural light, ventilation and insulation, and embedding a network of pipes to supply heat and hot water from a Combined Heat & Power boiler entirely fuelled by coppicing from the estate.
Adjoining the orchard are three fine, old walled gardens, two of which have been redeveloped to provide a reception, all-weather tennis court and a naturally filtered and heated swimming pool.
The individual timeshare houses sleep between four and ten people. Irrespective of their age, the houses are all equipped to the highest standards of expectation, with low-voltage appliances, stereo and satellite TV, and zip and link mattresses for flexibility.
