Recognition for Trelowarren
Although the Trelowarren Estate has existed for almost 600 hundred years, our holiday homes are a recent innovation and the eco friendly, sustainable policies that have been adopted, have resulted in the estate’s recognition as being at the forefront of green build sustainable tourism.
Trelowarren was the first holiday estate to introduce a district biomass heating system providing hot water and space heating for our buildings as well as heating the outdoor swimming pools. Fuelled by waste wood from the local sawmill and wood coppiced from the estate woodland, the binder boiler has proved to be extremely efficient and cost effective.
Our specialist ‘green build’ architects have designed our new houses and refurbished the older cottages to exacting specifications and as our good reputation has spread so have the number of awards Trelowarren has received.
In the last 12 months Trelowarren has been honoured with:-
